At Fort's Toyota of Pekin, one of our priorities is keeping you safe. As a result, we want to provide you with the latest safety information available. Blind-spot monitors are one feature that can help alert you to potential road hazards.

There are areas around every vehicle that are difficult for the driver to see. These blind spots are typically located toward the center-rear of the vehicle's sides and behind the bumper. Although larger vehicles tend to have more significant blind spots, monitoring these areas is essential in any sized Pekin vehicle.

A vehicle with blind-spot monitors contains sensors on the exterior side mirrors and the rear bumper. When the monitor detects another car, person, or object in one of these areas, an alarm sounds or a visual warning displays to alert the driver of its presence. Blind-spot monitoring systems may or may not include a camera.
