The 2023 Toyota Crown Hybrid Powertrain
The latest Toyota Crown comes in three trims, all of them endowed with a torquey hybrid powertrain. It mates a turbocharged 2.4-liter I4 with a rear axle electric motor. Combined horsepower is 340, the 2023 Toyota Crown Platinum trim zipping from 0 to 60 mph in a little over five seconds.
Lower trims marry three electric motors with a 2.4-liter I4. Sporty suspension with adaptive dampers results in a smooth, composed ride tuned for relaxation in the driver's seat. The hybrid powertrain maximizes all of the power it creates, attaining a fuel efficiency rating of about 42 mpg city/highway.
